The Humor of Imperfection

Few things make me laugh as much as animals being their ridiculous, unadulterated selves. 

People often remark that we humans could learn a thing or two about unconditional love from our pets. While that is true, I would also argue that animals have a lot to teach us about spirit and resolve. The lack of self-consciousness and curiosity exhibited by the pets in these two videos is downright inspiring.

“Dogs Who Fail at Being Dogs” is one glorious celebration of imperfection and failure. To be alive means having plenty of comic, graceless, awkward moments. As these videos show, we imperfect humans are in very good company.
